That’s it, I’ve said it. It’s not that I don’t think guys can sing (Elvis Costello and Sting are music GODS to me), but I have slowly weaned many of the male voices out of my music collection. Which brings up another kind of embarrassing confession: Two of the slots in my six-disc CD player are currently occupied by a two-disc set of The Carpenters Collection! I will stand up and say that I love Karen Carpenter’s voice and always will…so there. Other selections are Alicia Keys “Diary”, Annie Lennox “Naked”, a homemade CD called “girl singers” …oh, and Elton John “Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy”. Not that I’m calling Elton John a girl…I’m not! I’m just saying that I do have a male singer in my CD player..take it easy! Another one that I’m into right now, is the new CD by a young singer named Anna Nalick, called “Wreck of The Day”. We play her song “Breathe (2 a.m.) on Mix 100. Feel free to email me any time!
